VeloxServ, the Midlands leading colocation provider for MSPs, cloud, enterprise and national retail organisations, has announced plans to build a new carrier-neutral data centre in Redditch, Worcestershire. Due to open in January 2023, the facility, named 'Velox3', will be located less than 16 miles from Birmingham and is being built to support customer growth as its existing Wolverhampton facilities near full capacity.
VeloxServ's 'Velox3' data centre has been designed to Tier III standards, and once complete, will be ISO 27001 accredited, creating a highly secure home for managed service and internet service providers (ISPs) looking to scale. It has also been designed to host the critical IT requirements of cloud, enterprise, and public sector organisations who require in-house, technical expertise and agile, mission-critical facilities to support their infrastructure and applications.
VeloxServ is trusted by some of the world’s most renowned organisations to deliver agile, mission-critical data centres that underpin their applications including gaming and streaming services. Velox3 will include advanced, multi-layer security features and both ANPR and high-resolution CCTV. The facility will also host an on-site 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC), secure visitor ID and independent control systems that prevent unwanted access to customers’ infrastructure. It will also incorporate an advanced, fire suppression system, with full VESDA zone based addressable systems.
Finally, from a connectivity perspective, Velox3 will be completely carrier-neutral and offer connectivity to all major cloud providers via our extensive network reach via Manchester and London. Further, it will offer its own Global IP Transit via VeloxServ's ASN 3170, delivering 1G to 100G Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) & Wavelength/Optical services direct to customers’ racks.
Velox3 data centre will be live and operational in January 2023.
